The Dark Knight Rises Returns To Theaters For 10th Anniversary...

Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises is returning to U.S. theaters this summer to celebrate its 10th anniversary, Warner Bros. announced Monday. The 2012 blockbuster, which concluded Nolan's Batman trilogy, will screen in select IMAX and standard theaters nationwide from July 18–21.

The re-release comes as interest in the film surges on Google Trends, fueled by nostalgia and renewed debate about its legacy. Fans are revisiting the trilogy after Robert Pattinson's The Batman sparked comparisons to Christian Bale's portrayal of the Caped Crusader.

Warner Bros. confirmed the anniversary screenings will feature the original IMAX film prints, preserving the visual quality Nolan intended. The studio hopes to capitalize on the enduring popularity of the trilogy, which grossed over $2.4 billion worldwide.

Social media reactions have been mixed, with some praising the film's ambitious scale while others critique its pacing. The movie’s themes of societal collapse and heroism have also drawn fresh analysis amid current political tensions.

IMAX CEO Rich Gelfond called the re-release a "rare opportunity" to experience the film as audiences did in 2012. Tickets go on sale June 1, with early demand suggesting strong turnout.

The anniversary coincides with speculation about Nolan’s next project following Oppenheimer. While no new Batman films are planned, the re-release ensures Bale’s version remains in the cultural conversation.
